James Noah Carlos McGuiness was born is a small town in Nottingham name Newark on the 24th of July 1991. His mother was a nurse and his father was an electrician. He has a twin brother named Tom and a sister and two other brothers. He grew up in a prtty full family home and he had a good relaxed childhood. All of his family were big into football including his mom. Except for Jay he wasn't really great at football. Then one day his mother got an injury and couldn't play football so to stay fit she took up tap dancing. Jay went along and he took an interest in it straight away. He turned out to be really good so he took up some other types of dance.

 

As Jay got older he went away to dance college. It was really expensive and his parents had recently split up :( so his parents had to re-mortgage their house to pay. But in his second year Jay got a scholarship so there was less pressure on his parents. 
He acted and danced in some pantomimes around the place and that got him a good bit of money which naturally made him happy.
One day he was looking for something more so he googled auditions and two options came up "male vocalists auditions" and another option was "circus auditions" so Jay decided to go to both.
In the end he went to both but decided to take the one for the band (which turned out to be the most amazing band everrr).
